Kia America has announced 2027 EV9 pricing, and the headline number isn't the sticker, it's the torque gain on one trim. The three-row electric SUV now starts at $56,635 including a $1,645 destination charge.
That entry price only tells part of the story. Higher trims now bundle more equipment and torque, with the biggest changes on the Wind and Land versions.

The 2027 Kia EV9 Light Short Range opens the lineup at $56,635 including destination. Step up to the Light Long Range and the MSRP climbs to $59,635, a jump that buys a bigger battery rather than new features.
Wind trim comes in at $65,735, Land lists at $71,635, and GT-Line tops the range at $73,635. All of those figures already include Kia's $1,645 destination charge. The real out-the-door number still runs higher than the listed MSRP once taxes and fees are added.
Pricing – MSRP (includes $1,645 destination)
EV9 Light (Short Range)
$56,635
EV9 Light (Long Range)
$59,635
EV9 Wind
$65,735
EV9 Land
$71,635
EV9 GT-Line
$73,635
That spread puts the EV9 against a widening field of three-row electric SUVs. Kia has used the same pricing strategy on smaller models in its lineup. The 2027 Kia EV3's pricing follows a similar structure, with trim-by-trim jumps tied to battery size before equipment differences kick in.
Buyers cross-shopping the EV9 against gas-powered three-row options inside Kia's own lineup will find a different cost picture. The 2027 Telluride's gas trim pricing starts well below the EV9's entry point, which is typical of the premium EVs still carry over comparable combustion models.
The Wind trim now comes standard with what Kia previously sold as an upgrade: the Nightfall Edition Package. That means black-finish 19-inch wheels, Glossy Black exterior garnishes and a newly available Wolf Gray paint color all ship standard rather than as a paid add-on.
Land trim gets its own version of that package, stepping up to 20-inch black wheels, gloss-black exterior elements, a black headliner and an exclusive seat-upholstery pattern. Kia now treats that previously optional appearance bundle as standard content on Land for 2027.
The more consequential change sits under the hood. Kia bumped the Land trim's torque from 379 lb-ft to 516 lb-ft, a 36 percent increase, while the Wind trim is now rated at 443 lb-ft.
What do you think?
Land and GT-Line share a 379-hp all-wheel-drive powertrain, so the torque gain is the real story.
Anyone deciding between the EV9 and Kia's other three-row options should weigh trim level against drivetrain, not just the listed MSRP. Kia took a similar approach on the 2027 Sorento Hybrid's pricing, where bundling more features into specific trims changed which version delivers the strongest value for families.
