US President Donald Trump has reportedly rejected an Iranian plan to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. The proposal was presented by Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to Trump’s envoy Steve Witkoff on the sidelines of a UN gathering in New York. The plan stipulated that the important waterway would reopen seven days after an agreement was reached.
