Yes, we know this steering wheel is a weird one with its vertical spokes. Thankfully, there’s an optional M Sport wheel that puts spokes in a more normal location.
Like the gas 3-series and the electric iX3, the i3 has a dash-spanning information strip that resides just above the dash topper. Think of it as a head-up display that isn’t a HUD. (A HUD is still available, but we don’t know why you’d want one.)

The transmission controls are tucked next to the hazard lights and windshield defrosters.
You’ll still have to deal with some weird buttons on the steering wheel no matter which version you spec, though.
