Ineos Automotive has added a new special edition to its Grenadier lineup for the 2027 model year, the first in a planned series built around different elements the truck was designed to handle. Called Helmsman, it relies on a nautical theme and arrives on both the Station Wagon and the Quartermaster pickup.
Order books are open now, with UK pricing starting at £70,995 (about $94,700). Ineos has not announced US pricing or availability for the edition.

Helmsman carries over design details from previous limited-run special editions and adds a few new touches of its own. The headline feature is a deep blue paint finish originally developed for the brand's Arcane Works models, now offered more broadly on this edition.
Exterior changes include exclusive badging and a Dark Exterior Pack, which bundles a black grille, dark skidplates, and new matte black roof rails. The truck rides on 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and gains privacy glass, locking wheel nuts, and either a rear access ladder or a load bay tub, depending on body style.
Inside, Helmsman gets heated leather seats with new oyster-colored inserts, carpet floor mats layered over heavy-duty wash-down rubber flooring, and Ineos's Smooth Pack equipment. That pack adds ambient lighting, front parking sensors, and auxiliary electrical points, according to the automaker.
Eldoret Blue and Scottish White come as standard colors on Helmsman. Buyers can also step up to the Whiteout Blue metallic finish, a shade previously reserved for Arcane Works builds. Ineos says customers can further pair any of those colors with a contrast roof in either Inky Black or Scottish White.
The automaker says Helmsman is the first entry in a rotating series of special editions, each tied to a different element the Grenadier was built to face. Ineos says this one will run for a limited production window before giving way to the next themed edition.
Sagree Sardien, global sales director at Ineos Automotive, tied the launch to the brand's broader sales performance. "After three quarters of double digit growth, it's clear that our model line-up evolution is focused on bringing new customers to the brand who share our spirit of adventure," Sardien said.
Sardien also pointed to the truck's suitability for towing boats and hauling watersports gear in explaining the nautical styling. "We have combined popular design features from previous limited editions with new oceanic hues to deliver the ideal 4X4 for watersports enthusiasts and seafarers," Sardien said.
What do you think?
The Grenadier launched in 2022 as Ineos Automotive's first vehicle, followed by the double-cab Quartermaster pickup in 2023. Helmsman is the latest in a string of special editions other automakers have also used to add variety to boxy off-roaders. It's a trend seen recently with Range Rover's limited-run SV models and BMW's retro-colored special editions.
Ineos has not detailed exactly how long the Helmsman production window will last or named the next elements-inspired edition set to follow it.
