Pour one out for the McLaren 750S. After nearly a decade of production, starting with the 720S, time is running out for what’s arguably one of the best supercars of its generation.
We knew the writing was on the wall, but McLaren has officially confirmed that 750S production will come to an end in 2027. Final orders are now being accepted, marking the beginning of the end for one of McLaren’s most successful modern supercars.
The Latest From McLaren
There’s no doubt the McLaren 750S was special. It was developed as a more focused evolution of the equally excellent 720S, with McLaren changing or updating roughly 30 percent of its components when it debuted in 2023.
Its 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 produces 740 horsepower, while the car has a claimed dry weight of just 2,815 pounds. McLaren also revised the suspension, aerodynamics, and transmission calibration compared with the 720S, while giving the cabin a more driver-focused layout.
The 750S represents the latest chapter in a supercar lineage that began with the 720S in 2017. Along the way, the platform spawned the track-focused 765LT and the recently revealed 788HS.
As McLaren Chief Commercial Officer Henrik Wilhelmsmeyer puts it:
'The 750S represents everything that defines a McLaren supercar: benchmark performance, thrilling driver engagement, technical innovation, expressive design, and defined personalization. It will leave behind an extraordinary legacy.'

The end of the 750S comes as McLaren undergoes a major transformation. The company recently introduced a new logo and is preparing to expand its lineup with a broader range of vehicles, including a super-SUV reportedly aimed at cars like the Ferrari Purosangue.
What do you think?
The 750S isn’t the only McLaren facing an uncertain future, either. Recent reports suggest the hybrid Artura could also be nearing the end of its run, potentially clearing the way for an entirely new generation of McLaren models.
For now, though, the 750S gets one last hurrah. Final orders are open, but there’s not much time left for buyers who want a new one. Production is scheduled to end in 2027, bringing the curtain down on one of McLaren’s most important supercar platforms.
